Dr Tezuka olmasaydı, Japonya'da savaş sonrası çizgi roman patlaması düşünülemezdi. "

Tanıtım :

Osamu Tezuka, Japonya'da çağdaş animenin öncüsü olarak kabul edilir. Genç yaşta 8 mm'lik kamerasıyla küçük animasyonlar çekmeye başlamış ve bu animasyonlarında Walt Disney ve Max Fleischer'ın eserlerinden ilham almıştır.

Resimde yetenekli olmasına rağmen, başlangıçta bilim ve böceklere merakı onu tıp okumaya itmiştir. Henüz daha bir öğrenciyken 1947'de New Treasure Island (Shin Takarajima) eseriyle ilk başarısını elde etmiştir. Daha sonra her türde 400'den fazla esere imza atar: çocuk hikayeleri (Unico, Beeko-Chan), tarihsel ve psikolojik dramalar (Adolf, Ayako), 1953'te ilk shojo manga olan Ribbon no kishi, medikal drama Black Jack (1973), trajediler (Shumari), western (Angel Gunfighter), bilim kurgu (Wonder 3, Metropolis), tanınmış eserlerin kendi uyarlaması (Manon Lescaut, Faust, King Kong), fantastik eserler(Vampire, The Three-Eyed One), erotizm (Pornographic Pictures, 1.001 Nights ve Kleopatra), mecha'lar (Ambassador Magma), biyografik eserler ( Buda, Hidamari no Ki, Ludwig B), süper kahramanlar (Big X), samuray hikayeleri (I'm Sarutobi, Dororo), otobiyografi (Makoto to Chiiko) ... Başka bir büyük eseri ise,mitolojik manga Phoenixtir..

Astro Boy veya (1995 yılında Disney'in Aslan Kral filmini esinlendiren) Jungle Taitei (Kimba the White Lion), Tezuka'nın dünya çapında tanınmasını sağladı.

Tezuka'nın animasyon dünyasına da katkısı büyüktür. 1963 yılında, Astro Boy'un animeye uyarlanmasıyla Tezuka maliyeti son derece düşük olarak haftada yirmi altı dakikalık bölüm yayınlatarak sınırlı animasyonu başlatır.
Daha sonra kendi Anime stüdyolarını kurar (Mushi Productions). Jumping (1984), Broken Down Film (1985) ve Legend of the Forest (1987) gibi bir sürü animasyona imza atar. Ayrıca 2001 yılında mangası Metropolis yönetmen Rintaro tarafından bir animasyon filmine uyarlandı.


Osamu Tezuka 9 şubat 1989'da mide kanserinden öldü. Japonya'da yirminci yüzyılın en popüler, en çok okunan ve takdir edilen yazarıdır.
